Hi, I'm Jason
Thanks for stopping by. Just a bit about me. In my earlier years, I grew up in Houston, Texas, before moving to Jeju, South Korea, where I graduated high school. Now I'm a student at UC Berkeley majoring in Data Science and Sustainable Design. I'm passionate about product management, and I enjoy building products that lower the entry barrier for everyone who uses them.
Most of the projects I've worked on, and the ones I'm currently building, start from my own moments of inconvenience and curiosity. Looking for housing as a college student felt tedious, so I built a platform for that. Searching through Ikea and Facebook Marketplace for affordable furniture inspired Berkeley E-Mart. Lighthouse came from thinking about people living in natural disaster-prone areas, while To the Moon was built around gathering and preserving memories. What ties them together is a desire to turn everyday friction into approachable products for people whose needs are often overlooked.
Outside of school and work, I'm travelling to a new country, playing football (the real kind), watching baseball, 3D printing miniature figures or hunting for design inspirations in new modern day interior furniture.
